Board of Directors Election Notice

At the October 20th American Aberdeen Association board meeting, the Nomination Committee reported four qualified candidates were nominated for the two open positions on the board. Only two of the candidates chose to finalize their nominations by completing the necessary paperwork and steps to become candidates. As stated in Article IV C 2 of our bylaws, “in the event that a qualified candidate for a Director seat seeks election unopposed, the Nomination Committee may recommend accepting the candidate by acclamation and no formal election by mail-in ballot shall be required.”

The Nomination Committee accepted the two qualified candidates by acclamation. A motion to accept the acclamation of the Nomination Committee was made by Rob Fanning, seconded by David Shockey and passed.

Glenn Card and Jan Effertz will become members of the board at the annual meeting in Denver in January.
