Guidelines for ADG for Fullblood and High Percentage Market Animals
– For use by show committees and fair boards –

With the understanding that Average Daily Gain (ADG) is based on feed consumption and smaller animals tend to consume smaller amounts of feed, fullblood and high percentage American Aberdeen market animals may not meet ADG standards set by show committees for full size market animals. The American Aberdeen Association recommends that these fullblood and high percentage market animals have a minimum ADG of 1.5 pounds per day.
