Ava Kyllo is 13 years old. She lives in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, with her parents Eric and Lisa and three older brothers: Grant, Garrett, and Graham. This is why their home is known by the name Six K Ranch. She has been showing American Aberdeen since she was 9. A highlight for Ava is to see the finished product. It takes a lot of hours to get an animal from the pasture to the show ring. Her latest accomplishment was a successful show at Junior Nationals in Sterling, Colorado. She has shown at her county fair, the Iowa State fair, the World Beef Expo, American Royal, NAILE, and the National Western Stock Show. A goal set by her is to be in the Supreme Drive at World Beef Expo this fall. Ava has fun showing Aberdeens because she gets to travel and make new friends. When Ava is not working with her cattle, she is playing 4-H softball, girls’ fastpitch softball, riding ATVs and snowmobiles with her brothers, and hanging with family. Ava hopes everyone has a fun show season.
