President – Colby Prince

Colby Prince has the honor of serving as the President of the American Junior Aberdeen Association Board of Directors. He is from Roswell, NM and is a part of the J.A.C.K. Livestock Company. Colby graduated high school and received his Associates Degree in May of 2023. Colby shows and participates in activities through 4-H and currently serves as the poultry and beef heifer ambassador for his county. He will be attending West Texas A&M in the fall and hopes to attend vet school in the future and become a Mixed Animal practitioner.

Vice President – Caleb Weyh

Caleb Weyh is from Summit, South Dakota, and helps on his family operation, NXS Cattle. Caleb has been showing American Aberdeen cattle for 10 years and has been raising them for 13 years. Caleb will be serving as the American Junior Aberdeen Association Vice President this up coming year. Outside of showing Aberdeen cattle, Caleb participates in FFA, 4-H, school sports, as well as also showing various other breeds of cattle, as well as pigs, and lambs. Caleb also participates in livestock judging at the FFA and 4-H level.
Caleb’s goal for the year is to try to help get everyone involved and excited about the
American Aberdeen breed.

Treasurer – Rece Nickell

Rece Nickell is from Maud Oklahoma and helps operate Sullins Ranch. Rece has been showing and raising American Aberdeen cattle for 5 years. This is his second year serving on the Junior Aberdeen Board and holds the position of Treasurer. Outside of showing cattle, he is extremely active in his school FFA where he holds the position of chapter sentinel. Through FFA he judges on his meats evaluation team along with giving extemporaneous speeches and has recently picked up shooting sports.
Rece’s goal for the year is to encourage new members to join the fun and make new friends

Secretary – Rylan Gann

Rylan Gann is serving as your Secretary of the American Junior Aberdeen Association Board of Directors. He is from Callao, Missouri, and is a part of his family farm, Gann Family Farms. Rylan graduated from Macon High School in 2021 with honors, and is currently attending Northwest Missouri State University. He is attaining an Agricultural Business degree with two minors in Precision Agriculture and Dealership Management. Rylan is a passionate ambassador of the American Aberdeens. He has been raising and showing Aberdeens with his family since 2011 and continues to advocate for the breed. He has served in many leadership roles in his local community including 4-H, FFA, and church. After college, he plans to work in the dealership field as well as keep growing his American Aberdeen herd.

Social Media and Marketing Directory – Austin Petow



Austin Petow is serving as your social media and marketing Director of the American Junior Aberdeen Association board of directors. Austin is a native of Connecticut, and now resides in Cynthiana Kentucky. He is a fourth generation cattlemen following the foot steps of his grandfather and father. Austin is the herdsman on his family’s farm: Diamond B Cattle Company and his passion for cattle runs deep.
Austin has been showing and raising American Aberdeen cattle since 2012. Austin has had great success in the showring , locally and nationally, and has been competitive against other breeds.
Austin attends Harrison County high school where he will be a senior this fall. Austin is an active member of the FFA, American Jr Angus Association and the Kentucky Jr Angus Association.
After graduation Austin plans to attend Kentucky Welding Institute to become a certified welder. Austin plans to help grow the his family’s Aberdeen herd and bring energy to the AJAA.
