The Western Aberdeen Breeders Association has a new look for 2018! WABA has a new logo to better reflect our breed and membership. Go to our website at WesternAberdeen.com to check out the new logo and see all the events that are coming up this fall.

The Northern International Livestock Exposition (NILE) will be October 14-16th in Billings, Montana. Entries are due September 5th and we are expecting a large turnout for the show. The Power Bull and Heifer Futurity will be at 5pm on the 15th followed by the annual meeting at 7pm. The Aberdeen show will be at 8am on the 16th. It is an action packed show that has something for everyone.

The WABA annual meeting will be held at The Windmill Restaurant banquet room in Billings at 7pm on the 15th. We invite everyone to come and enjoy a good time and visit with other Aberdeen breeders. This is always a good way to network and make new friends and renew old ones.

WABA is offering a membership special at this time. You can sign up now and your membership is good through December 2019. What a great deal! Go to our website to register.

The WABA Annual Bull Test will take place in Ft Lupton, Colorado at Walters Land and Cattle. The bull test will be a high roughage fed ration from November to April. The bull test is an excellent way to get information and prove their genetic worth. We should have more information about the test on the website soon including cost and actual dates.  There will be a pick up site for bulls during the NILE show and transportation to Colorado for a small fee.

The Grassfed Exchange will be holding their annual conference in Santa Rosa, California April 3-5, 2019. WABA has made a commitment to have cattle on display at the conference. Aberdeen cattle have a natural fit in the grass fed industry and we want to put them front and center at this event. We are also looking to have an Open House question and answer session on April 6th about the breed and the benefits they have in a Grassfed operation.

Go to the website at WesternAberdeen.com for the latest information and updates on all the  upcoming events.
